  • DOE EERE: “Corrosion-resistant non-carbon electrocatalyst supports for polymer electrolyte fuel cells” $ 3,000,000 (Jan 2016-Jan 2019); Lead PI: Vijay Ramani.  Subcontractors: Nissan, North America, and University of New Mexico.  IIT (Ramani) share: 52%.  Note: This grant was recently announced and is currently in the negotiation stage.  We are working with DOE to complete the negotiations by December 2015.
  • ONR Sea Platforms and Weapons (Code 333) Core Program: “Development of robust anion exchange and bipolar polymer electrolyte membranes for direct borohydride fuel cells used in UUVs and other electrochemical technologies relevant to U.S. Navy”, $ 258,000 for 2 years (July 2014-June 2016).
